The Lockdown Anablogue.

A period in late March 2020 and beyond. A time of transition, of stillness, a state of being best described a liminal. Stuck in a timewarp, life become simpler, the constraints was our strength as we occupied our worlds. For the first time there was a necessity to look inwards and self-reflect as a collective or go insane in our isolation. To look within ourselves and others and make the best out of each day, like an indefinite Christmas Day. I've often thought, wouldn't it be great if time paused so I could have time to catch up?

This is a collection, or blog (or even better – anablogue) of 35mm stills from the period of May to Aug 2020 in Plymouth – where the earth seemed to stand still but mountains moved nonetheless. Where police patrolled the Plymouth Sound, parks were closed as if the Puritans were back, people were by themselves (except when they weren't) and even during rush hour the streets stood still.
